Jordan Rainer

Meet Our People – The Enduring Spirit of the Chickasaw Nation

Born in Atoka, Oklahoma, Jordan Rainer is a Chickasaw singer-songwriter with a lifelong connection to music and storytelling. Dressed for battle in her signature black hat and sunglasses, country music's Woman in Black earned a four-chair turn during her blind audition on NBC's "The Voice." She went on to earn a spot in the Top 9 with fellow Oklahoman Reba McEntire as her coach.

Jordan's Chickasaw heritage has been a persevering influence in becoming the strong, resilient and empowered woman she is today, and she hopes her tenacity inspires others to follow suit. Hot off the heels of "The Voice," Jordan's career is full-steam-ahead with her Chickasaw roots and Oklahoma grit at the forefront.
