Meet Our People – The Enduring Spirit of the Chickasaw Nation

Ashlyn Colbert is a Senior Associate of private equity firm Good Springs Capital, a strategic partner of the Chickasaw Nation. Together, they invest in businesses with entrepreneurial management teams both in Oklahoma and throughout the nation.

Ashlyn's Chickasaw roots and connection with the Nation opened doors for her current path. "I was offered the opportunity to come to New York City and learn from some of the best in the industry and it was an opportunity that I couldn't pass up," she says. Her Chickasaw pride comes not only from how the Chickasaw Nation has invested in Oklahoma communities, but also from the entrepreneurial spirit of her ancestors. "I feel like they carved out that path and we’ve just kept it going."

As she moves forward in her career, Ashlyn continues to work hard to uphold what she feels is her responsibility "to live up to not only [her] family’s expectations but also to make the tribe proud, the Chickasaw Nation proud. I truly credit [the Chickasaw Nation] with where I am today," Ashlyn says.
