Margaret Wheeler describes the array of costumes she designed for the Lowak Shoppala’ production to represent each scene. All were worn by Chickasaws representing the tribe from the Mississippian ancestors to today. She notes it was unbelieveable to see it on stage but also for this exhibit for public viewing. She is getting wonderful feedback along the way. When she was an art teacher she felt fortunate in that her students would have something physical to reflect their learning. She describes her role in the Lowak Shoppala’ production as one of the highlights of her life.
