State of the Nation 2017

The 57th Annual Meeting

Governor Bill Anoatubby celebrated the outstanding growth of the Chickasaw Nation that occurred during 2017 in both numbers and economic strength. Major community gatherings and dozens of small group meetings were held across the nation. Technological developments included the Chickasaw.tv app for Apple TV, the AYA fitness/culture app for iPhone and Android and Level 2 of Rosetta Stone Chickasaw. Several healthcare facilities were constructed or expanded across the state, along with two new youth clubs, a new community and senior center and a veterans lodge. The historical feature film Te Ata was released through Chickasaw Productions, with The Chickasaw Rancher in post-production and Ackia in production. Governor Anoatubby noted with pride that the Chickasaw Nation has never been as large, economically stable or dedicated to providing services for its citizens as it is right now.
