Tabitha Fair, an award-winning Chickasaw songwriter and vocalist, rehearses for a performance at the 2013 Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival. She discusses the theme for the Annual Meeting, “Coming Home,” which is also the name of the song that she will be performing. Fair, originally from Oklahoma, left her native state to pursue a music career in New York City. She describes the connection that she felt with her Chickasaw heritage upon returning to Oklahoma and visiting the Chickasaw Cultural Center.
