Suzanne Van Cooten loves her job, and she loves being Chickasaw. As the Hydrologist in Charge at the National Weather Service Lower Mississippi River Forecast Center, she studies flash floods, rain patterns and the effects of weather on the nation. With a background in math, science and technology, Dr. Van Cooten is the perfect role model for the children who visit the center on field trips such as the CNASA and Environmental camps.
