Accomplished Chickasaw pianist and guitarist
As an award-winning musician, Wyas Parker has been playing instruments since he can remember. From piano to guitar, Parker plays, studies and writes music for many to hear and enjoy.
Parker graduated from East Central University in 2011 with a bachelor's in mass communication and a minor in piano. The moment he decided he wanted to continue in his pursuit of musical excellence was when he performed his work in front of a live audience in 2005.
Not only an accomplished musician, Parker also has interests in graphic design and photography. Wyas is currently working on his masters degree.
Accomplishments
- Selected as one of 30 outstanding young leaders in Oklahoma by Ion Oklahoma magazine
- Top honor in 2012 Ada’s Got Talent event
- 2006 winner of Musically Advanced II at the Oklahoma Music Teachers Association state piano contest
- Received a gold cup from the National Federation of Music Clubs
