The first Native American tribal press of its kind

Established in late 2005, the Chickasaw Press was created to chronicle our history and culture. It is the first Native American tribal press of its kind.

Since its founding, the press has published seven signature book series books, three biographies, six volumes of Chickasaw history and historical essays, a book of poetry and a Chickasaw-English prayer book. The Press has won numerous awards including Harvard’s Honoring Nations award, Independent Publisher Book Awards and more.
