The Natchez Become Chickasaw Refugees

Growing wary of French demands, the Natchez tribe staged a revolt against a French colony in 1729, which later backfired when the French returned for revenge in greater numbers. The Natchez found refuge with the Chickasaws for several years, being told to move on due to pressure from the French on the Chickasaws.
