The Chickasaw Language: A Bilingual Campus

Experience Chickasaw History and Culture

Visitors delight in seeing, saying and learning the meanings of the Chickasaw words you'll see all around campus. Most buildings and menu items -- even gift items -- have signs that combine our two tongues -- Chickasaw and English, such as Anoli' Theater ("stories") and Aaimpa' Cafe ("a place to eat"). Find a growing list of words and meanings under "LANGUAGE ON CAMPUS."
