Kristina Kirtley: Sharing Stories

Meet Our People – The Enduring Spirit of the Chickasaw Nation

Kristina Kirtley is a former project manager for International Cinema Education, an organization that utilizes film to educate students about global issues at the United Nations. Kirtley is a Native Oklahoman and Chickasaw, and when she learned the Chickasaw Nation had produced the film "Pearl" she proposed that International Cinema Education use the film to educate students on indigenous issues. She is very proud of her Chickasaw heritage and she loves the way that film has helped her not only share the story of the Chickasaw people, but how it has the ability to reach anyone and everyone. Kristina is currently the Senior Producer for WNET Kids' Media & Education.
