Joshua Hinson is an artist and Director of the Department of Chickasaw Language in the Division of History and Culture for the Chickasaw Nation. Here, Joshua describes how he became interested in artwork and tribal themes as a child and how he now focuses on southeastern work that is based on shell engravings.
