From the archive, former Oklahoma legislator Lisa Billy speaks about balancing her time at the Capitol with family and children. She says her role as a mother heavily influences her life. She doesn't let her dual roles detract from one another. Instead, she utilizes the compassion and attention she has developed through motherhood to allow her to more easily see through the eyes of a diverse group of constituents. Lisa Billy is currently a tribal legislator for the Chickasaw Nation.
