The McSwain Theatre in Ada hosted a brand new music festival on June 3-5. The Chickasaw Chamber Music Festival opened on Friday, and showcased performers from across the United States. Playing original works and music from the canon of Louis Ballard, guest artists included mezzo-soprano Barbara McAlister, guitarist Gabriel Ayala, Juilliard-trained ensemble Ethel and Chickasaw Nation composer in residence Jerod Tate.
