Chickasaw playwright JudyLee Oliva discusses the impact of famed Chickasaw storyteller Te Ata, as cast and crew prepare to bring a stage production about her life to venues in Oklahoma and Washington, D.C. Chickasaw actresses Tana Takes Horse and Nancy McDoniel play the young and older Te Ata, respectively, and are anxious to bring the story of Te Ata to the stage. Performances are scheduled at Oklahoma City University June 14-17, 2012 and June 21-24, 2012. The production moves to the National Museum of the American Indian July 5-8, 2012.
