Tribal historian Richard Green notes the first volume in the Chickasaw Lives trilogy was published by the Chickasaw Press in 2007, a chronological account of Chickasaw history from the mound period to about 1983, when the Chickasaws ratified their new Constitution. The second was published in 2009, presenting individuals based on oral histories.
