Career Development Initiative

Chickasaw citizens have the opportunity to begin successful careers with the help of the Career Development Initiative. The tribe created the program to help citizens overcome past challenges and gain valuable on-the-job training. When a citizen applies for the program, they go through an assessment to establish their strengths, then CDI works with them to decide where they’ll receive their training. Participants stay in the program for up to six months. During that time, the tribe pays their salary and CDI provides them other training they’ll need to be successful when looking for employment, including practice interviews.
