The 58th Annual Meeting

Governor Bill Anoatubby praised the strong growth of the Chickasaw Nation. He also recognized how Chickasaw citizens from all around the world made their way to the Annual Meeting celebrations. Governor Anoatubby also noted that 35 years ago, the Chickasaw Nation ratified its Constitution, creating three branches of government. In the years following ratification, the Chickasaw Nation turned its focus to economic development and business diversification while maintaining education and health care and housing, supporting the mission of enhancing the overall quality of life of the Chickasaw people.

Business development and growth was strong in key industries across gaming, especially Bedré Fine Chocolate. Bedré developed key partnerships in licensing with the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University, as well as the Dallas Cowboys. WinStar World Casino and Resort also partnered with the Dallas Cowboys as the official casino partner for the team. Chickasaw Nation Industries is also booming, with contracts and other manufacturing opportunities totaling in the millions of dollars. Major improvements were noted in the fields of education, early childhood education and health care, due partly the Chickasaw Nation's economic growth.

The Chickasaw Warrior Society welcomed more than 1,500 strong veterans and provided a refuge for all veterans. The Chickasaw Nation also supported its citizens with home financing loans and other support to help them get the homes they deserve. Technology is of major importance to the Chickasaw Nation, with over 80 episodes of Rosetta Stone Chickasaw available and 40 more on the way. AYA, the Chickasaw fitness and culture app, was made available for citizens on their devices. A new division of the Chickasaw Nation, Chickasaw Employment Access, was created to assist Chickasaws in becoming employed and removing barriers to employment. More service buildings, like a gym in Tishomingo and a Chickasaw Nutrition Center, are being constructed. Governor Anoatubby said it was the unconquerable spirit of the Chickasaw Nation that helped the Nation grow and thrive. He told all the citizens listening "to be certain that the Chickasaw Nation today is strong and is getting stronger."
