As a Geographic Information Systems Specialist for the Chickasaw Nation, Brian McCurdy works to capture, manage, analyze and display geographic information in the form of maps, globes, reports, charts, databases and websites. Currently, Brian is working toward discovering all 64 of the Chic-Choc markers that date back to the 1870s – these stones were used by 19th century surveyors as mile markers for the boundary between the Chickasaw and Choctaw nations.
