November 15, 2012 - Wayne Scribner, Bow Maker

Chickasaw Nation News

Wayne Scribner is the Secretary of Community Services for the Chickasaw Nation, and he's also an accomplished bow maker. Wayne says he feels a spiritual connection with every bow that he makes because of the long process and hard work that goes into every step of bow making. He has mastered the art of bow making, and he loves the sense of accomplishment because each bow he makes takes years to complete and is specifically tailored to the archer. Scribner also likes to share his love of archery and bow making with other Chickasaws and he and his son participated in the cornstalk shoot at the 2012 Chickasaw Festival.
