March 22, 2011 is Diabetes Alert Day. It's a good opportunity to learn about all the services the Chickasaw Nation provides to diabetic patients or citizens interested in preventing diabetes in their families. About 26% of all Chickasaws older than 50 are battling diabetes, so it's important to take advantage of the medical, dental, nutritional and educational services provided — the same way Ramona Miller did. She shares her personal story about controlling diabetes.
