Chickasaw Nation Division of Education: Science, Technology and Math (STEM) Program

Lisa John, Former Education Division Administrator

Math and science can be fun — and the STEM Program is out to prove it. Started in 2006, the program gives kids the opportunity to compete in LEGO and Junior LEGO competitions while being mentored by the robotics team. Children who participate aren't just having a good time - they're gaining confidence, improving analytical thinking skills, and maybe even starting on the path to a career in science, medicine or engineering.
