Chickasaw Language Immersion Family Camp

The Chickasaw Nation

They're learning, laughing, playing games, hiking, fishing and speaking Chickasaw. Because of their commitment to the Chickasaw language, Michelle and Brian Cooke attended the Language Immersion Family Camp in Stroud and they took their entire family. During the weeklong camp, participants take part in everything from classroom language lessons to traditional Chickasaw games. More information on the Chickasaw language revitalization program is available at Chickasaw.net.
