In this episode of CNTV News, Brad Clonch and Quin Tran explore how the Chickasaw Nation can help citizens and employees realize the dream of homeownership. From housing counseling and loan services to home improvement grants, counselors and staff are available to work one-on-one throughout the home buying process. We also meet Addelon and Michael Moore, a young Chickasaw couple who recently took the exciting step toward homeownership with the help of the Chickasaw Nation. Next, there are a number of Chickasaw Nation grants and scholarships for both part-time and full-time students who are pursuing undergraduate, graduate or doctoral programs, but the deadline is quickly approaching. Applications must be received by February 1, 2018. Finally, we learn about the new book, "Piominko: Chickasaw Leader" and meet the authors, Dr. Thomas Cowger and Mitch Caver, who tell the fascinating story of Piominko and how he contributed to American and world history.
