Brad Clonch and Quin Tran begin this episode of CNTV News by taking us to the Chickasaw Cultural Center, where an exhibit pays tribute to veterans who served on a special Navy ship. Governor Anoatubby welcomed those who served on the U.S.S. Chickasaw to a ceremony at the Cultural Center, where he unveiled the exhibit honoring the Navy ship. Next, the Chickasaw Nation has been recognized for its commitment to health and wellness and is now part of the Certified Healthy Oklahoma program. Plus, the University of Oklahoma hosted a Chickasaw Kids' Day for youth to explore the campus and football field. Another organization that makes a difference in the lives of young people is the Chickasaw Foundation, which has given away hundreds of scholarships in its 45 years. Joe Thomas is one such individual who has benefitted from the foundation's generosity. The youngest of 12 children, he was the first in his family to graduate from college and now helps write the curriculum for Chickasaw students learning about the Nation's history and culture.
