Brad Clonch and Quin Tran begin this episode of CNTV News with an introduction to the 2014 Chickasaw Nation Dynamic Women's Conference & Forum. This year's event was held at the Artesian Hotel and Chickasaw Cultural Center and featured Dr. Shannon Speed, an anthropologist and the 2013 Dynamic Woman of the Year, as the keynote speaker. Another special celebration is taking place on May 1: the ceremony for the five citizens who are being inducted into the Chickasaw Nation Hall of Fame this year. Mark your calendar a little later in the month for Chikasha Ittifama, the Chickasaw reunion, to be held Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17, in Kullihoma, OK. The annual event is a chance for Chickasaws from all over to connect, participate in cultural activities and spend time with family. Finally, the Easter celebration and egg hunt and the parade to kick off the Week of the Young Child took place in April.
