On this episode of CNTV News, learn about the Youth Storytelling Workshop hosted by the Chickasaw Nation Division of Arts and Humanities. Young students are taught the importance of using storytelling to share Chickasaw history and culture. They also gain experience in public speaking by practicing storytelling with peers. Recently, Youth Heritage Day brought more than 400 students from area schools to the Chickasaw Cultural Center to learn about Chickasaw heritage. Storytelling, stomp dancing, and demonstrations allowed hands-on learning for students. And Chickasaw leaders broke ground on the new Sovereign Medical Clinic and Pharmacy that will be located in Norman, Oklahoma. The clinic will provide quality healthcare services to Chickasaw citizens and employees and other residents in the Norman area.
