On this episode of CNTV News Quin Tran and Brad Clonch discuss the Chickasaw Nation's contributions to cultural awareness beginning with The Native Filmmakers Summit and Film Forward, two events that will be hosted by the Chickasaw Cultural Center September 6-8. Additionally there are Chickasaw Nation camps offered throughout the year that focus on Chickasaw culture and language. Plus, hear all about the Chickasaw Nation Riversport Program, launched in 2011, to introduce Chickasaw youth to canoeing and kayaking. The program is held at the Devon Boathouse, on the Oklahoma River, and it helps young Chickasaws achieve goals through hard work and dedication.
