In this episode of CNTV News, Brad Clonch and Quin Tran speak with Dr. Daniel Molina, Chief of Research and Public Health for the Chickasaw Nation, about getting healthier. Molina explains that it's important to pace yourself, set attainable goals and go easy on yourself when you make a mistake. He also shares how a full night's sleep will improve your mind as well as your body.
The pair also meets with Gaile Loving, who has just completed her goal of running a half-marathon in every state. She tells us why she started this journey and how its conclusion affected her.
The deadline for Chickasaw Foundation Spring Semester Scholarship applications is almost here. If you or someone you know is pursuing degrees in music, Native American studies, an MBA or a career in home maintenance, the deadline for the scholarship is February 10.
Lastly, Quin Tran talks to the recipient of a life-changing scholarship for Chickasaw students in STEM, provided by Enel North America. Luke Crutchfield is majoring in industrial systems and engineering at Texas A&M. Afterwards, he intends to join the Navy and become an aviator. Luke credits the Chickasaw Nation with helping throughout college and sending him to summer camps that kickstarted his interest in aviation. Next month, we will meet the other recipient of the Enel scholarship.
