This time of year brings families together throughout Chickasaw Country for holiday events, including the Chickasaw Tribal Library Christmas Reception. The family-friendly gathering included sweet treats, holiday decorations, children's activities and more while rejoicing in the Christmas spirit.

Fans of the NBC show The Voice rooted for Jordan Rainer, a Chickasaw musician whose talents brought her to the final round of the show where she competed for a record deal and $100,000. Although the Chickasaw citizen didn't win, she gained a large following throughout the process and now has newfound support for her musical career.
