During Cultural Evening, the Chickasaw Nation honored Gene Nashoba Thompson with the Silver Feather Award for his dedication to preserving and revitalizing Chickasaw culture and history. The tribe also honored Nancy Howell for her career-long commitment to public safety at the 2023 Dynamic Women of the Chickasaw Nation Conference. Jewelry, sculpture, textiles and paintings were just some of this year's featured artworks at the Southeastern Art Show and Market (SEASAM). This highly anticipated annual event celebrates youth and adult artists from both the Chickasaw Nation and other Southeastern tribes.
