Chickasaw Nation News

To begin this episode of CNTV News, Brad Clonch and Quin Tran sit down with Indian Country Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, Officer Jared Buckaloo, to hear about the most rewarding part of serving his community and the pride he takes in enhancing the lives of Chickasaws. See next how the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police were recognized by the state of Oklahoma for keeping civilians safe during wildfires that occurred earlier this year.

The week-long Chickasaw Cultural Enrichment Family Camp took place in Stroud, Oklahoma. This annual summer program gives Chickasaw citizens the opportunity to connect with their culture and bond with their families through games, activities and cultural demonstrations. Hear Jesse Clevenger, Chickasaw citizen and program participant, discuss the value of the Family Camp and the importance of passing down the Chickasaw language and culture to the next generation.
