This time on CNTV News, Brad Clonch and Quin Tran begin the episode with Kaylea Arnett, a decorated Chickasaw diver who was the youngest ever to qualify for the U.S. national team. Now in her 20s, she's retired from competitive diving but has transitioned her unique skills to a career in acrobatics for Cirque du Soleil. Kaylea connects with CNTV News from Las Vegas to share more about her journey to the circus world and one of the most prestigious shows in the world.
Over the past several months, crews have been constructing a new 50,000-sqaure-foot building that will serve as the new home of the Chickasaw Nation Annual Meeting. Located on the Chickasaw Capitol grounds in Tishomingo, the new building will have seating for 2,400 and state-of-the-art audio-visual presentation capabilities.
The tribe will be celebrating the 2022 Annual Meeting and Festival September 23 through October 1, the first in-person since 2019 and the pandemic. The weeklong festivities will feature activities for the entire family, culminating in Governor Anoatubby's State of the Nation address Saturday morning, October 1.
