Chickasaw Nation News

This time on CNTV News, Brad and Quin report from the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada to share how innovation in the medical field is changing the lives of Chickasaw citizens. Jack Reardon is a welcoming face on the hospitality team at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center, where he meets and greets patients and visitors, and gives them a helping hand. The 58-year-old Chickasaw knows about the need for help because he lives with limited sight. After a car accident in college Jack was blinded in one eye and has impaired vision in the other eye. But new technology is changing his life and helping him navigate the world around him.

Next, Chickasaw citizen Dustin Rowe was appointed to the Oklahoma Supreme Court for District Two. He formerly served as a Chickasaw Nation Special Judge and District Judge for many years. At age 18 he made history when he was appointed mayor of Tishomingo and became the youngest mayor to serve in Oklahoma. Brad and Quin then highlight the Chickasaw Heritage Series and accompanying curriculum. In closing, they reveal a new statue of Chickasaw Nation Governor Douglas Johnston at the Historic Chickasaw National Capitol in Tishomingo.
