Summertime is in full swing, with the Chickasaw Nation hosting several camps, clinics and academies for kids. Brad and Quin recap some of the recent activities for youth, from the annual WinStar Golf Academy in Thackerville, the Chickasaw Nation Tennis Camp in Oklahoma City and the first Chickasaw NextGen conference, held at the Devon Boathouse in Oklahoma City. Next, they introduce us to Sophia Wells, a young Chickasaw singer and songwriter who is pursuing her dreams. Sophia began singing at the age of seven and has been training, developing and training her voice ever since. Originally from Missouri, Sophia moved to Oklahoma City to attend the University of Central Oklahoma's Academy of Contemporary Music, where she studied voice performance and music business. Now living in Los Angeles, she has been playing live shows and released an EP that she wrote with some of her closest friends while she was still living in Oklahoma. Sophia says she's doing more than just pursuing a singing career. To her, it's a calling. "I hope that people feel passion for me when I'm singing and that it inspires them to do what they're supposed to do, even if it's not music."
