Continuing the legacy of our rich culture is of the utmost importance to the Chickasaw Nation. From the Language Revitalization Program to the Historic Preservation and Repatriation Office, discover a variety of cultural programs that are dedicated to preserving the Chickasaw way of life.
The Chickasaw Nation founded the Summer Arts Academy in 2005 to help students of all ages discover and nurture their passion for the arts. Students as young as eight can enroll in the program, rotating through classes to experience different forms of creative expression, ranging from creative writing and visual arts to dance and theatre. Once they’ve had the opportunity to hone in on a specialty, students between the ages of 11 and 13 can choose interdisciplinary classes to further develop their skills.
