Chickasaw Nation News

In this episode of CNTV News, Brad Clonch and Quin Tran meet with the students of Chickasaw's language immersion program. The program's students spend eight hours a day, five days a week, listening to and speaking nothing but the Chickasaw language, and one of said students, Briana Mason, explains how speaking the language has brought her closer to her ancestors. CNTV News sits down with Daniel Molina, chief of research and public health for the Chickasaw Nation. Molina explains some ways to be healthy in the new year, how to maintain your motivation, and misconceptions you might have about the very idea of health.

Next, learn about "Thinking Chickasaw," the tribe's new initiative to improve the mental health of its members. Listen to the experts explain why it is so important that mental health be recognized, and that the stigma against it be broken.
