Chickasaw Nation News

In this episode of CNTV News, Brad Clonch and Quin Tran share information on the Lighthorse Police Department and its relationship with the communities it serves. The department regularly practices community policing, a positive approach to interacting with those they serve. Officers engage with citizens to get to know them one-on-one, learn about neighborhood concerns and establish relationships. Lighthorse officers also host the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Youth Academy every summer, which offers young people the opportunity to explore careers in law enforcement. The Nation's tennis camp is another popular youth camp; this year, it hosted over 100 kids. We also learn about two golf academies for Chickasaw citizens at WinStar Golf Course, one for kids and one for seniors. The annual Elders Conference and Veterans Conference also recently took place at WinStar World Casino and Resort.
