Holba' Pisachi' Native Film Festival

Join us Saturday, July 15 for the third annual Holba’ Pisachi Native Film Festival at the Chickasaw Cultural Center. The Holba’ Pisachi’ (Showing Pictures) Native Film Festival features a wide variety of Native short and feature films, as well as special presentations and interview-style panels with accomplished filmmakers and actors.

Special guests include actor Wes Studi, who starred in Dances with Wolves, Last of the Mohicans and Avatar, and actor Martin Sensmeier, who starred in Magnificent Seven and is the lead actor in the upcoming Chickasaw Nation-produced film, The Chickasaw Rancher.

Stories of indigenous people are showcased through film and the creative process used by the filmmakers and featured actors is highlighted. This year’s festival theme is “Tour de Force in Native Cinema: We Are One,” representing the many different backgrounds and locations of the Native guests who share the passion of digital storytelling.

The Holba’ Pisachi’ Native Film Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 15 in the Anoli’ Theater at the Chickasaw Cultural Center. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information about the film festival, click here.
