Chickasaw Nation News

In this episode of CNTV News, Brad Clonch and Quin Tran take us to Sulphur to witness the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Inkana Bridge. Inkana is the Chickasaw word for friend, and it’s the perfect word to name this pedestrian walkway that connects the Chickasaw Cultural Center with the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. In other news, at the Chickasaw Cultural Center, about 2,000 children joined in the annual Easter Egg Hunt, one of the Center’s most popular spring events. Families also gathered in Ada for the 16th annual Children’s Fair, which featured an inflatable playground, face painting and other activities. We also look ahead to May 5-6 for Chikasha Ittifama, the Chickasaw reunion held every year at Kullihoma. Another event that’s bringing people together is the Dynamic Women of the Chickasaw Nation Conference, a two-day event that features wonderful speakers, breakout sessions and more. Stay tuned for the next episode of CNTV News for highlights from the Conference. Extras are also needed for upcoming Chickasaw Nation print and video projects; for more information, visit Chickasaw.net/talent.
