In this edition of CNTV News, Brad Clonch and Quin Tran report from the Chickasaw Arts Academy, where children spent two weeks immersed in the arts, singing, dancing and creating. This year, the theme was Follow Your Heart, and while the number of participants has grown over the years, the class sizes have remained small, utilizing two college campuses for the first time. Younger students were at East Central University in Ada and older students were at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Next, in Sulphur at the Chickasaw Cultural Center, chefs showcased cuisine inspired by culture and heritage at the first Native Culinary Expo. Chickasaw kids brushed up on their basketball skills at a camp held at Oklahoma City University. The kids enjoyed learning how to dribble and shoot, as well as making new friends. And to wrap up the episode, Brad and Quin take us to Ada, where several children spent four days going through the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Youth Academy, where they got a glimpse into what it takes to be a law enforcement officer.
